ok i'm using the last of my usually unlimited energy to update my blog cuz today's worth mentioning... *yawns*Woke up at 9 and met the friggin farnie dude nelson... we had breakfast at the coffeeshop nearby our place (seriously come to think bout it, the minced meat noodles seems spiked cuz nelson and i had stomach aches) Took 105 to toa payoh cuz that's where we WERE supposed to meet... waited for awhile but Melvin didn't show up nor answer his calls (the fella was sleeping) so we caught an early movie "Wolf Creek" before heading down to Changi Ferry Terminal in a cab. Please don't watch it... it sucks to the depths of hell.. Underworld's a friggin nice movie... sad la M-18.. so sorry kids wait for the dvd... *laughs* Yea ok so anyways, the cab driver being an idiot brought us to the wrong ferry terminal and the distance between the two terminals weren't exactly near (to add, it was really hot) so Nelson and I were complainin bout the cabby and wishin for a cab to appear.. which happened rather slowly.. urgh.. after finally reachin the ferry terminal, we had to wait there cuz they have this policy of havin at least 12 passengers before leavin the docks... (cheapos) Once we arrived at Ubin we wasted no time in renting bikes cuz Nelson was against walking n now i thank him for it.The sights were amazing like it's seriously kampung style down there... but i don't think kampung's sold coconut's for 1.50 a piece... day light robbery.. urgh oh well.. We got lost a couple of times but somehow managed to navigate our way through the forested areas and the various forks in the road.. Went around Ubin, visitin almost everything there was to visit.. gardens, houses, a temple, bridges, the NPCC camp etc.. the only thing i didn't like bout the trip was the steep up slopes... KILLER!!! but the down slopes were great.. worth the effort of going up... Nelson enjoyed it so much that he didn't see this big hole right infront of him and yes the fella fell down and cut his palm... stilll could tell me "Wah Shiok sia" *shrugs*Oh and another rather eventful thing that happened was that nelson was taking pictures of this monkey, i was sittin down at the rest point and drinking water cuz we jus came out of the jungle path and it's not an easy feat with bikes... Suddenly I hear Nelson say "James I think there's a problem" I look up and i see the monkey's family coming towards us... We definitely didn't look like food and aft all that walkin i'm pretty darn sure we didn't smell like food either.. so we decided to get our asses outta there but before we could do that the monkeys went ballistic and started making noises and climbin trees... this was mainly because 3 wild dogs came out of nowhere and started chasing them... between the monkeys n the dogs i'd still choose the monkeys anytime so we high tailed outta there relatively fast.. lol.. made the journey exciting.Didn't see any wild boars though... Not like i wanted to but it would have been cool to see one.. from afar.. jus in case it decides to impale you. All and all, i think it was rather cool and fun.. roughin the "outback" and havin good clean fun.. heh gonna go back next week... for the night hike.. today was jus to get used to the place. Once i do get the pictures of our trip i'll post it on the blog alrighty?
